How Do You Care for Lash Extensions?
For the first day or so, keep the area free of water so the glue has time to completely cure. Don’t touch your eyes, apply mascara, or curl your newly grown lashes; instead, give them some TLC. In general, stay away from anything that asks you to touch your lashes, and also avoid cleansers and anything with oil in them. If you’d like, you can apply mascara only to the tips of your lashes, but it’s better to forego it entirely. Ultimately, your freshly applied lashes need to be striking enough on their own.
How Long Do Eyelash Extensions Last?
Extensions endure for the duration of the lash’s normal development cycle, which is roughly six weeks, because they are affixed to the lash itself. Richardson suggests applying lash conditioner (yes, it exists!) and lightly brushing your lashes with a dry spoolie brush to prolong the life of the extensions. In order to fill in any gaps, she also suggests getting “refills” every two to three weeks.
